Biden demands Trump end the horrible border policy of Obama and Biden
During the last presidential debate of 2020, Democratic challenger Joe Biden condemned the President Trump for failing to reunite families separated at the border faster, however, branding the “zero tolerance” policy itself “criminal”.
“It makes us a laughingstock,” Biden said. “It violates every notion of who we are as a nation.”
“Those kids are alone with nowhere to go. It’s criminal,” the former vice president said.
Of course, Trump didn’t initiate the program.
Trump responded that it was the Obama/Biden administration that started the separation policy.
“Who built the cages, Joe?” Trump asked Biden.
Biden didn’t have an answer.
In response, Trump pointed out that separating children at the border and putting them in cages was an Obama-era policy that the Trump administration eventually rolled back.
“They did it, we changed the policy,” Trump responded.
“Kristen, I will say this, they went down, we brought reporters, everything. They are so well taken care of. They’re in facilities that were so clean,” Trump continued.
“But just ask one question: Who built the cages? I’d love you to ask him that. Who built the cages, Joe?”
