Biden taps obese transwoman as assistant health secretary

President-elect Joe Biden on Tuesday named Dr. Rachel Levine as assistant U.S. health secretary. Levine would become the first obese transgender to help shape health policy in America.

Levine promoted scientifically unsupported lockdown measures, which were subsequently struck down by a federal judge.

But Levine was born a man and identifies as a woman, so, naturally, that is all the qualifications needed for Biden’s administration.

“She is a historic and deeply qualified choice to help lead our administration’s health efforts,” Biden said, adding her expertise also included the opioid crisis, medical marijuana and LGBTQ+ medicine, among other areas.
