Journalist wants to die from COVID vaccine to prove it’s safe

In the most convoluted rationalization of bad medical science I have ever heard, a Norwegian journalist,, has proclaimed to the world that she would die from the AstraZeneca vaccine because, evidently, people must die for others to be saved.

Here is her thought process (translated to English):

But even if it turns out that it is the AstraZeneca vaccine that has caused blood clots or cerebral hemorrhage, I have no doubt: If I get the offer, I will take it anyway. For, sorry to say it so bluntly: Someone has to sacrifice for the rest to be safe. That’s the way it is in all wars.

The hell?

This is why it’s hard to believe the coronavirus is more of a psychological disorder than a respiratory one.

First off, despite the fact that the analogy to war has been made constantly, it’s sorely inadequate. War between humans may indeed require someone to die. People don’t go to war unless there is some difference that cannot be overcome by talking it out. But the fight against a disease is not a war in that sense. We don’t have to sacrifice people to the CDC juggernaut to appease it. But that doesn’t stop this journalist from plowing through with the inane analogy.

Read on:

And we’re still at war. Against the corona. And our only weapon is vaccines. Vaccines are simply the way out of trenches. The road to peace.

No we’re not at war. We never have been. And there are a lot of weapons against coronavirus. Most of which don’t kill people.
